Here is my review of Beautiful Disease. I was able to buy a copy (bootleg) at his show, just to let you know, it isnt released officially. Songs: 1. Seattle Head 2. Who's To Blame 3. Superman 4. Song for Beverly 5. Put You Back 6. Shining Down 7. Missing You 8. Hope 9. Holiday 10. Then and Now 11. Rain 12. Beautiful Disease 13. Mezz Loaded are: Duff McKagan - Bass/Vocals Taz Bentley - Drums Dez Ladena - Rhythm Guitar/Backup Vocals Micheal Baragain - Lead Guitar/Backup Vocals This is a great album, with a lot of variety and emotion in it. A good portion of it is heavy with a lot of bass and guitar and drums in the mix, but there are also some slow songs with acoustic guitar. One song has an orchestra in it (Rain) and he has a good mix of fast and slow songs in it. One of the songs, Mezz appears to be from the time when he was in Ten Minute Warning, just a different version. Slash appears on Hope and a couple of other songs, its great to hear his guitar in there, and Izzy is on Put you Back, and probably other songs but I couldn't tell. This is a very autobiographical album since a lot of the songs deal with things that happened in Duff's life. Seattle Head is a heavy song about Los Angeles, and Who's to Blame shows some insight into the breakup of GN'R. Song for Beverly was written for someone he knew who disappeared, and Missing You is about the friends he lost to drugs like West Arkeen. Then and Now is about Duff's life now as compared to before, and he says that "if you saw me yesterday, you wouldn't recognize my face.." My favorite songs were Mezz, Hope, Holiday, Missing You, Shining Down and Put You Back. Actually I liked all the songs on the album which is pretty rare, and it shows it is a very strong record. I would rate the album 8 out of 10. From listening to the album you can tell that Duff is really talented and why he did such a great job in GNR!
