Favorite Class: Paladin
How I got into QFG: Went to best friend's house, he had the game, we played it, rest is history ;)

QFG was a great experience from the moment I started playing. It seemed to have all the advantages of an adventure game that most games lacked; storyline, gameplay, a coherent combat system, etc. Of course, I was devastated when the QFG series was announced as discontinued. At first, I thought that Sierra was just taking a very long time creating it. This is when I founded the Quest For Glory 5 Coalition, an organization entirely devoted to convincing Sierra to create the game. Of course, the road was filled with setbacks, but after nine months of diligence, fans everywhere finally expressed their wishes loudly and in unison. Now, as QFG5 looms in the tangible future, my friends, fellow fans, without any reluctance or reservation, we can proudly call ourselves heros.

How I got into QFG: How I got into QFG I guess I can say I have to owe it all to my big bro Arthur, who's been a QFG maniac. To bad he has a job and school to keep him busy although he does wish one day to return and finish QFG4 and QFG 5. It all began when I was sooo bored with KQ 5 and the rest of the KQ seris my big bro came up to me and handed me a game box which read QFG3 wages of War. He installed it for me (since I was young then) and gave me a few comments on the game and the rest was up to me. I guess I can say QFG 3 gave me the pinch of magic that I needed to get into these games. I had a little vacation from gaming but I returned and did some research to find out where the other games were locked away. To my misfortune I couldn't get them! They were no longer being shipped to Canada. I sent an email to Lori Cole and the rest of the dragon fire team and got a reply from Robin Bradly. (Thanx! I owe the seris to ya!) He called the marketing department and in no time I had the anthology in my hands! All was left was to finish my quest and fall in love with the series I love all over again....

How I got into QFG: It all started when I was on the school bus with my friend. I asked him if he had any new games for his PC and he said he had just bought a game called 'Quest for Glory'. I asked him if I could borrow it and he agreed.

That night, I sat down at the computer after installing the game and prepared to play it. I was expecting it to be pretty boring but I needed something to do to fill my spare time with. I started the game and got to the character selection screen. I saw that you could play as a thief! I thought this was a joke but out of curiosity I decided to click on it. I did and the Stat. screen appeared, you could pick locks and sneak! This was too good. All of a sudden I knew that this game was going to be something special. I clicked on 'start' and watched my new hero want-to-be walk through the gates of Spielburg. From that point on I just couldn't stop playing the QFG games, it is the best series ever made, not to mention the most addictive!

Favorite Game: So You Want to be a Hero?
Favorite Class: Wizard
How I got into QFG: I first got inerested in the Quest for GLory series when it was originally Hero's Quest. My parants wouldn't let me order it, because it had 10 floppy disks, and they wouldn't let me put it on the hard drive (so I would have to change disks often, which could put ware/tear on the 5 1/4 drive. For Christmas on year I asked my grandma for the Spqce Quest I upgrade, but it didn't work so I excahnged it for Quest for Glory I EGA. It took me about a year and a half to beat it (because I got fed up and quit for about 6 months). But after I beat it with all characters I ordered Trial by Fire. It took a while to beat because I didn;t know how to use the Lamp to get the Fire Elemental. I bought Wages of War from my Friend Michael, (for about $20.00) and I beat it in a week. Finally I got Shadows (disk) from Grandma, and it was cool, but at a "Friendly Local Walmart" I found Shadows (CD) for $15.00. That's what I use now.

Favorite Game: QFG 1 EGA
Favorite Class: Magic User
How I got into QFG: It was legendary game series here in Czech. It took me about sixteen months to get my hands on QFG1 EGA since distribution of games was terrible at the time. I got completely hooked on this one. Although we have several distribution companies now, none of them was capable of getting the QFG Anthology from Sierra (ask Sierra why :( so I had to go to Germany for a PC-Amiga show and get German version of the Anthology over there. I am hard core, ya know ;)

When I saw the QG1 remake, I bought that, and then I bought QG4 when it came out. I kept looking for 2, but never could find it, until about a year ago, my brother sent me it along with some other classic games... some sort of pack. Pretty odd order for playing the games, huh?

Name: Brad Basden, Web Page

Name: Brandon D'Angelico
Location: Howell, New Jersey
Favorite Character: Keapon Laffin
Favorite Game: QFG4, because it had the best graphics, plot, and chracters like Baba Yaga, Ad Avis, Bonehead, and finally Erana appeared!
Favorite Class: Thief
How I got into QFG: In K-Mart the day after Easter 1996, I noticed a box that said Shadows of Darkness on it. I read the box and looked at the pictures on it. Then, I noticed it was by Sierra, the company who had made the Goblins trilogy and the Space Quest series. That was enough for me, so I bought it. I played QFG4 and was hooked. But I noticed it was QFG4. Well, if the fourth QFG was so good, the first three must be equally as good. So I got the QFG Anthology and am now a fan forever, and looking forward to QFG5 (even though Punny Bones isn't in it.....)

Name: Micheal Halls-Moore aka JimLad or Outbreak, Webpage
Location: I am from England, I live about 30 miles away from London in a town called Aldershot.
Favorite Character: My favourite characters in QFG have to be the group of farmers in GFQ 4. They are funny because of their likeness to gangsters. I think that was the intended idea of them.
Favorite Game: My favourite QFG game is number 2. I like it because of it's Arabian Nights atmosphere and it's many characters. Plus the time limit gives you a sense of urgency when doing your quest. It is a very good game but I don't think a remake would be able to do it justice.
Favorite Class: My favourite character class is a thief because you can get lots of money from people's houses and so on. It requires skill to do and you can practice magic at the same time because you don't have to carry a large shield around with you all day.
How I got into QFG: I couldn't decide which game to buy for my new Amiga(long time ago!) and it eventually came to Quest for Glory 1. I tried it when I got home and immediately loved it. I liked interacting with the characters but I especially liked being able to build up my character from humble beginnings. I played for a couple of years just restarting from the beginning all the time and trying again. Once I upgraded to a PC I forgot about QFG completely. I was in a game shop once and came across QFG 2 for the PC. I bought it and started playing it again. I then completed and started again with the different characters. I forgot about the series again completely until I stumbled across the GFG Anthology. I bought that for my PC and played through all of the games using `Shadow' my thief. I have just restarted now and am going to use a magic user for my character.
There's my life story...

Name: Mary E. Davis aka Stenchy the Paladin
Location: I'm from Eugene, OR
Favorite Character: My Favorite Character in the series is the Domovoi, I love the soothing sound of his voice and I like his intelligence and innocence. I also love Rakeesh, Uhura and Julanar.
Favorite Game: I don't have a favorite game, I like them all. They each have their own special charm and importance for me that I can't choose one over another.
Favorite Class: Paladin
How I got into QFG: I play a lot of computer games and I frequent a games shop which is run by an elderly gentleman who tells me his age is 70. He loves computers and plays a lot of games. He kept trying to get me to buy QFG and I took my time deciding to play it. I played a variety of games, Zork Nemesis was my favorite, and I was used to digitized film, so the idea of going back to animation wasn't too appealing to me. However, when the anthology came out and it was so reasonably priced I took my friend up on his suggestion and bought the game. I instantly fell in love and have played all the games over and over. I believe it says something about QFG that it appeals to all ages from 11 to 70.

I feel like I should explain my character name because it seems a little undignified for a woman my age. But I love film and Stenchy was the name of a character in a film I saw. It was about a clown and Stenchy, another clown, helped him through the bad times. My son and I thought it would be funny to call the hero Stenchy and it has grown to be such a part of the game for me, that I can't change it now. My favorite scene in QFG4 is when he tells Gypsy Davey his name and Davey responds, "It is a good name, a strong name, your bare it well." ***LOL*** I also love to see Aziza say, "Welcome Stenchy". It adds a few laughs to the game.

I love the movie references in the game from the Marx Brothers to Monty Python. I really love the scene in the castle in QFG4 where you straighten the candle to open the secret door. The script says, "You Put The Candle Back" which of course is a line from the Mel Brooks movie, Young Frankenstein.

Name: Ingrid Atkinson
Location: Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada
Favorite Character: Rakeesh
Favorite Game: The origanal Hero's Quest or the newer version. Probably because Hero's Quest was the first on I played. Also both of them have a lot of jokes I get from Monty Python and even a Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy in the original (What is the answer to life, the universe, and everything?)
Favorite Class: Wizard or Thief
How I got into QFG: I got into the QFG series when I was 5 years old. My mom had gotten my dad a copy of Hero's Quest for our new Tandy(yuck!) He really got into playing it and I'd just sit down there watching go through all the puzzles. A couple years later, when in Calgary, my dad saw a copy of QFG 3 and bought it for me,luckly we've gottenm rid of the Tandy. I've been adicted to the serise ever since.

I can't wait for Dragonfire, now excuse me while I go build a NEW character to get ready to upload for QFG V: Dragonfire.

Name: James Galliher

Favorite Character: Katrina
Favorite Game: Quest for Glory II: It's the only one I can beat without the hint book :)
Favorite Class: Thief
How I got into QFG: : I got the first one for my birthday, and loved it every since the first day I played it.

Name: Neal McIntyre, The Realm Page
Location: Oakville, Ontario, Ccanada
Favorite Character: Keapon Laffin
Favorite Game: My favourite qfg is qfg 3, because the endings and ways to complete the game were so different for each class, and it had the most replay value. the qfg I hated the most was qfg 4 because of all the bugs, and it wasn't nearly as funny as the others, and the dead chick in the swamp (I forgot her name) had hair that was too long (if you know what I mean).
Favorite Class: My favourite class to play is the paladin or thief. I like the paladin because he's a fighter and a magic user, and you only get to use him if you import your character, which makes me think that I get something that people who havn't played the other games didn't get. I also like the thief because sometimes the other characters sound like pansies whining about honour, and the thief just steals from people.
How I got into QFG: I got into the qfg series when I was 5, and my brother had the game, and I would play that and police quest 1 when he wasn't around.

Name: RJ Threepwood, QFG Page

Favorite Game: Wages of War; Seekers of the Lost City, because It's got the best storyline and theme. Like, the diffrent places to stay i.e. Simbani, Tarna... And it's got manu! It's just rules
Favorite Class: Thief
How I got into QFG: I read various things about it in InterAction. I put it off as just another dumb puzzle game. My friend started talking about So You Want To Be A Hero. I had no idea it was QFG. I bought it off him, found out that that was QFG, and loved it. Santa :-) brought me QFG3, and I soon bought a used QFG2 at a used book store, and started my collection. I now have the original QFG on disk, and the VGA version. QFG2, QFG3, QFG4 on disk and cd

Name: Kim Avery

How I got into QFG: One day my father brought home a qfg game for him to play. I started messing around with it and in no time i was hooked!

Name: Steve Anderson
Location:
Favorite Character: Rakeesh
Favorite Game: QFG3
Favorite Class:
How I got into QFG: It was a cool, crisp, Autumn day. As my dad and I were at the local mall, we were searching out presents for my older brother. He was really into computer games. As we were at the software store, I came across the box of the new VGA QG1! I thought it looked cool so I convinced my dad to let me get it. The next summer we were driving out and around Seattle to the small community of Kent and, at a discount computer store, noticed a small, dusty, orange box. I wiped the grime off and discovered Trial by Fire. I imported my hero (a Fighter of 195 strength, among other things) and my adventure continued. At that same, small computer store I bought The Wages of War and Shadows of Darkness.

Name: QG Man (the one and only)
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Favorite Character: Ali Fakir of Ali Fakir's Used Saurus Lot
Favorite Game: Quest for Glory 2 because of the game flow and tons of easter eggs
Favorite Class: Mage
How I got into QFG: I first got QG1 in '93. I got somewhat fed up with it because I had absolutly NO clue what I was doing. After about a 1 month cool down period, my friend told me about how to beat the game, and I quickly did. After that, I searched for QG2, finding it quickly. QG3 however, took me 5 months of store searching and a toll free call to the "friendly" people at Sierra. I got QG4 on Christmas the year it came out, and am awaiting QG5's October release.

Name: Paul Tripp, aka Anon Tigran
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Favorite Character: Shema and Shameen and just about any other Katta
Favorite Game: QFG2
Favorite Class: In qg1&2, thief. In QG3&4, paladin
How I got into QFG: I was over at one of my friend's houses one morning before we left to walk to school together and he was playing Quest for Glory 2. It looked like a really cool game, so I told my parents about it. My dad bought me the QG1 remake for Christmas. I bought 2&4 a few months later, but couldn't find 3. I had to call Sierra 3-4 times before finding out how to order it. After that I met Lori Cole and started a QG newsletter. I tried to convince people to help me make a QG movie, but when no one was interested I decided to write a book about Quest for Glory. My book is called 'Quest for Glory: A Child in Shapier'. I've written over 20 chapters so far and I'll give the first 8 to anyone who wants them.
